Dr. Nura Mariscal del Moral (she/her) is a pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapist with a passion for providing holistic care for all genders and fostering a safe and nurturing environment for every patient. She earned her Bachelor of Science from The College of William and Mary and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. Nura joined the ThriveAgain team in September of 2021.
During her doctoral training, Nura gained clinical experience working with pregnant and post-partum populations, general orthopedics, and inpatient rehabilitation at the Georgetown University Hospital. She also completed research on pelvic health and co-published her abstract, Reporting Lumbopelvic Pain during Pregnancy, in the Journal of Women’s Health Physical Therapy and presented her research at the 2021 Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association. She has postgraduate training in pelvic floor physical therapy through Herman & Wallace and is working towards earning a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification.
Nura cares deeply about improving the quality of life for her patients and helps her patients work toward autonomy by providing tools that they can use in their day-to-day life. She is fluent in Spanish.
