Katie (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with fourteen years of clinical experience. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis and an undergraduate degree from Connecticut College. She joined ThriveAgain in 2017.

Katie has expertise in working with survivors of trauma, complicated medical conditions, and individuals with significant behavioral health concerns. She also has a certificate in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International. She has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for medical conditions, including chronic pain.

Katie works collaboratively with individuals to help them overcome adversity and enjoy healthier relationships and work lives. She helps clients build on existing strengths and understand the origins of interpersonal struggles using an empathic, person-centered approach.

She has held leadership positions at community behavioral health and hospital settings in DC, and she teaches a clinical practice seminar for the MSW program at Catholic University.

Katie is available for psychotherapy appointments during the day and in the evening and offers free 30 minute consultations.
